So, I’m 18 weeks today! I was feeling kind of weird about it on Monday because while my belly is expanding, it doesn’t look pregnant. That’s fine, but it tends to make me worry about how everything is going and if I’m really pregnant. Crazy, I know. But the Lord is so good to provide special blessings we just don’t expect…like the fact that I have a friend in Aberdeen who has a portable ultrasound machine! She works with hearts, but she brought it to our monthly women’s meeting and did a “scan” for the 2 of us who are pregnant. Joy is 39 weeks, so the baby was too big to get much out it sadly. However, my baby put on quite the show, including a sweet yawn, lots of somersaults, and a good thumb-sucking bout. So awesome!!! Unfortunately, none of us are trained ultrasound technicians, so we couldn’t determine the gender though there were a few times we might have had a shot. We quickly ruled out the umbilical cord, but there was a moment where we almost thought the baby was a boy…? I do get a 20-week scan in a little over 2 weeks {24 June}, but they won’t tell us by policy. Grrr. So, the private clinic will scan me at 22 weeks {9 July} and we should know then. Patience. Last night showed me just how much I think this baby is a girl- I was shocked when my friends suggested otherwise. So, I am thinking it was a great way to remind myself that I just don’t know. :)

Don't be jealous of my awesome pink sweats. I'm wearing them because in JUNE it was cold and raining. Sigh.
{If you want to see the video of part of the informal sonogram I had on Monday, check out my Facebook page. I can’t figure out how to get the code to put it here.}

Baby bump! Can I just say how excited I am that our due dates are so close together?! Yay for us!
WOW The weeks just fly by! If baby #3 is a boy, Luke will be thrilled! We are excited about being there July 9 for the big day of finding out for sure!! We love all of you, including baby 3.
Me, too, Sarah! So fun!!
Thanks, Phyllis- excited to share that with you, too!
Wow Emily you look great! I think I look like that at about 9 wks, or maybe right now at 42 years/not weeks.
Been thinking of you a lot lately. Still love you to pieces my young frined. I am so thrilled that there is another little blue-eyed blonde coming your way. Hugs from me to you dear.
I thought you said you were starting to show at 10 weeks. I’m a little jealous because you should see how big I am at only 13 weeks. Congrats. Hope you’re feeling good.
Well, I thought I was.
I think my normal trouble areas just have more of a firmness now.
I love that your pictures of your tummy are so not dramatic yet. You’re pushing out your stomach! You’ve got a very small baby bump and a butterfly baby who was so obliging as to wave, suck their thumb, and do a little womb ballet for us–it was so lovely! Love it.
I cannot confirm or deny any tummy sticking out.
That’s one cute belly! Though I’ll admit I can’t really see a bump. I remember feeling like I finally had a bump around 18-20 weeks but no one would agree until I was past 20 haha. Have you always carried small?
Wow didn’t realize you and Sarah are within a week or two of one another, what fun!
