39 Weeks!

It’s funny how many people don’t make it to 39 weeks, and I have always made it.  :)  Rebekah was 3 days early and Luke was induced 4 days late- pretty in line with their personalities.  We are really, really hoping for anytime now for this one!  I am keeping well, and many have been kind enough to tell me how “neat” I look- my new favourite Britishism for looking small, or at least not as big as I could be.  This is just the way I carry babies- I tell you, bigger hips better pay off somewhere, right?  If I don’t get to be tiny when I’m not pregnant, it’s nice to not get enormous now.

Anyway, I am anxious and eager to meet our little girl.  Will she look like Rebekah or Luke?  Will she have a head full of hair like they did?  Will she keep herblue eyes like the rest of my family or favour me with hazel?  So many things I am excited to see!

We have a first name for sure and this week have found ourselves debating the middle name- not that we have different opinions.  Actually, we have 2 possibilities and we both are undecided and we both go back and forth.  Uh oh.  :)  We have had the first name since we found out she was a girl, so we’re pretty solid on that at least.

As for spurring on labour, I am about as active as I can possibly be.  I am amused how many people encourage me to walk…I still do the Shred and a million other things, including lots of cleaning and mopping.  Apparently inside is just a nice place to be for my babies because they are not fooled by my attempts to get them out!  In fact, I ran 3-4 mornings a week and Luke was still late- and was induced even!  Oh well.  The Lord knows what He is doing, and I am thankful for a seemingly healthy pregnancy and a very active baby {she is a mover!}.  The only reason I really am in a hurry {besides being uncomfortable} is so Josh can go to the conference.

Here I am, friends.  Hopefully, this will be the last pregnancy post- hope springs eternal!

I almost cry when I think of a new sweet little baby girl in your arms!! So glad to have secured tickets and final plans to come. You could give her two middle names. Very British with all the names they give children.

We’re praying for a safe delivery whenever she comes. Did you talk to the midwife or whoever you needed to see about earlier induction?
