Easy Meals for Pregnant or New Mommies

I am nesting right now…in my own way, which is cooking and baking.  I have wonderful friends who have already promised to make us meals when we have the baby.  :)  Bless them.  They also greatly blessed me when I was so sick that first trimester by dropping off meals every so often, even weekly at times.  However, I am trying to think ahead and know that I will be responsible for meals sooner than I’ll be ready.  Dinner time is currently not stressful for us- Rebekah and Luke play and I make what I want, and everybody is pretty appreciative for homemade meals.  However, I imagine that 5pm with a newborn and 2 kids home and tired from school might be a little hectic.  Thus, I thought I’d compile some easy meals Josh can throw together for us that will still go over well and not just suit us.  ;)  Maybe these simple ideas will be helpful for some of you, too.

Easy Meals

  • French Bread Pizza

    French Bread/Bagel Pizzas

  • Spaghetti and Italian/Cumberland Sausages with jarred sauce
  • Tortellini & Sauce
  • Rotisserie chicken, rice/potatoes, and salad {can be store-bought}
  • Soft Tacos, canned refried beans/Uncle Ben’s Mexican rice
  • Green Chili Quesadillas
  • Chicken Nuggets & Fries
  • Hotdogs & Crisps
  • Baked Potato Bar
