I don’t know if you’ve ever “read” HUG by Jez Alborough, bu just like little Bobo, these 2 kids just needed a quick hug from someone they loved and who loved them in return just as much! They really do adore one another, as evidenced by how often this happens- and long enough for me to leave, grab my camera, and photograph it!
This particular incident was initiated by Luke, who ran up to his big sister and yelled excitedly, “Hug, Gecka!” She literally dropped what she was doing and hugged him. They continued for several minutes. I loved Rebekah’s role, too- the first time he did it, she exclaimed in the sweetest voice, “Oh, I LOVE you, Luke!”
