I Owe You a Post…

I never get tired of looking at my peanut and her siblings, so I decided you didn’t either.  You’re welcome.  Lizzie will be 17 weeks on Friday or 4 months on Sunday- time really is going fast!  It would go faster if I ever got a full night of sleep, but, I have to say once again, I will take happy baby over sleeping thru the night baby any day!  One day, she will be both!  She woke up last night RAVENOUS at 3am, instead of closer to 4am, and then again was wide awake for a full feeding at 6:30am, which she NEVER does!  I did convince her to go back to sleep til after 8, tho, which is pretty amazing since she went down at 6pm on the dot last night.  I was also surprised how in tune to her my body is- she usually nurses later both times, yet I had more than enough for her in an almost uncomfortable way.  When I needed to do something with the big kids yesterday and had Josh give her a bottle, I pumped almost an ounce more than I usually do, so she must be upping her count.  This is great since she needs every calorie!  I literally JUST put away her 0-3 month clothes, and they weren’t even that small.  Such a peanut!  Another fun thing is that she is almost always awake now when we go somewhere, and I can’t tell you how many people stop to stare at her and talk with her!  She has such big, beautiful eyes and such a gorgeous smile, they are all smitten, of course!  ;)  I will say, it is odd when I go to the trouble of covering up with a nursing blanket to have someone pull it back without asking to see her.  I little bit of an invasion of privacy, no?  Hmm.

This was this afternoon- we had gone to play group and were about to take Luke to nursery.  I LOVE how Luke jumps in all the pics now.

Apparently, jumping in a pic for some extra love is a Malone older sibling trait...

In other news, Rebekah is on one of her first real field trips…without me!!!  I can’t tell you how weird I feel about this, worrying about the bus trip over and her being safe.  No one loves her like the Lord or her parents, so I am praying the teachers keep their eyes on her!!  It’s so hard to let go and let them live a little out of the protection of their family’s loving arms.

Way to eat, Lizzie! I’m sure she’s hitting a growth spurt. Joseph has been doing the same lately.

I hear ya on letting go. A few weeks ago, I had a race with some friends. It was pretty cold, so Jonathan decided to take the kids home. Julia begged to stay, so we let her sit and watch with some good friends of ours {who have baby sat her before}. Anyways, I was so anxious that she’d get lost, that our friends wouldn’t watch her well enough, etc, etc. I had to calm my fears and remember that God is in control, and that our friends do take care of her well. But that mama fear can be so overwhelming at times!

Thanks for the update. Sounds like Lizzie is having a growth spurt – YEAH!! Love the older sib in the pictures. I remember that one of Bekah and Luke!! How time flies. I’ll be anxious to hear all about Rebekah’s field trip – I’m sure they will take great care of all the students. Where did she go? Praying for you today!!

Beautiful children! I love how Lizzie fits your family so well with the older two who adore her!! What a blessing your children are as I know you know! Fun to get caught up after my trip . . . although I should be sleeping at 4:30 in the morning.
