Elizabeth is 16 weeks today. And what a precious bundle she is! Lizzie rolled over from her back to her tummy 2 days ago and can now “play” with toys dangled in front of her! She is incredibly social, and just lights up when she sees familiar faces. She is starting to sleep longer at night, and I am happy with where we are, even if she’s not sleeping “through” the night as I would define it. I am happy to feed her since she eats, grins, and goes right back down, which enables her to sleep in, too. She is also starting to wake up happier too- don’t get me wrong, she still fusses to alert me she is awake, but usually she is pretty happy when I show up! I also must say that she has a special grin she reserves just for me, I think. At least so far, it’s mine. Typically it’s when she has just started nursing and is sure she will be happily fed. It’s a big grin with her mouth closed that fills her whole face and eyes and that says everything she is feeling: happiness, well-being, love, and satisfaction. I just adore her. Have I said that before? ;)
All taken today with a brother who loves to tag along. Don’t be fooled by the first picture- she is still small, she’s just all bundled up. Also, she still never, ever spits up, but she does drool and play with her spit a lot…as in a whole lot! You can see it in the second picture.

They drool for months!! Trying to cut those teeth and figure out how to keep that spit in their mouths!! Love the pictures. Luke in his stripey pj’s doing tummy time with Lizzie – too cute. It is such fun when they start reaching for toys and people!! Just counting the months till you are back in the states and I can snuggle that sweet girl – and the rest of you!!!
What a sweet girl, I’m so glad you’re enjoying the night nursing that’s left. I have used you as inspiration to keep me positive instead of dreading the night nursing that is soon coming my way. I never minded it with Archer, unless he dropped then resumed a feeding that drove me so crazy Chris admits he used to wake up with panic attacks when he heard Archer….another thing I’m working on and praying about.
She is a total doll!
Beautiful girl and love Luke doing tummy time with her! Sweet to hear about her special mommy smile! Hutton used to give me one I called an “encouragement” smile – just a precious little look that seemed to say “You’re doing a good job mommy!” Love to all.
