I was delighted to learn that there are a ton of women who love to plan menus as much as I do! Thanks, Christy, for the heads-up!
So, I thought I’d put our menu up. I think you know how I like to be efficient and organized. Maybe it will inspire you the way other women’s menus inspire me to try new things. These are our dinners. For lunch, we usually grill wraps or do chopped salads.
- Monday: Braised Beef, roasted veg, horseradish dumplings
- Tuesday: Chicken Roman and Mushroom Risotto (I substituted mushrooms for the squash- amazing!)
- Wednesday: Midwestern loosemeat sandwiches, oven-baked fries, and homemade mac n cheese
- Thursday: Left-overs
- Friday: Morroccan Chicken Soup, naan
- Saturday: left-overs
- Sunday: Stuffed Cabbage Stoup (has rice in it), salad, and bread

Wow! You have a wonderful menu. I am definitely going to try the loosemeat sandwiches and Morraccan chicken soup (with naan, of coarse. I look for any excuse to eat naan).
BTW – I love Loyd Grossman’s Tikka and Korma, and Sharwoods Thai Curries (both red and yellow). If you find a good Tikka or Korma recipe I’d love to try it.
so, do you just choose your menu based on what you want to eat? Or do you try to combine foods to produce several meals? I already noticed the left-over idea. Keep in mind I only have one frigerator, not two. Do I buy all these food items for the week? Assuming I set up a menu plan like yours?

Christy- my mil sent me an even better recipe I’ll forward you for the soup.
Joy, yes and yes. We choose what sounds good first, then I try to find other meals that use those same ingredients if I’m going to have too much. I do order most of it at once, but I would recommend getting the staples (whatever you can fit) for 5 days or a week, then supplementing as you need to. Or choose 2 meals that use similar things, make one one night, eat LO’s next. Repeat for 2nd meal. See if you have enough space to try getting stuff for 3 meals like this…?
thanks, that is so helpful!
