Okay- here is our new flat, minus Luke’s room and the master room. They will be on the next post or when I get pictures.
(Mortons, keep your eyes open for a mysterious someone in one of these pictures.)
Our fun red door.
The front garden- the stump is a happy sight for us b/c it means a very scrubby tree is now gone!
Look at that hydrangea!
This is the hallway once you enter the front door- the front door is past the door you can see with the sweatshirts hanging on it…yes, even in August, we have sweatshirts.
The living room is off the hallway.
I love this big window. There is a lawn bowling green across the street.
The kitchen- it is very light and bright! I love it! Josh added this wonderful shelf for me!
We have 2 fridges and freezers- yippee!
Our pantry space- there is quite a bit of space, but not enough shelves…this is the best I could do!
The back door- it comes directly off the kitchen, which is sooo nice!! We go out back almost 50 times a day…
Rebekah’s play house!
Our backyard has 2 sections- the first is cement and the 2nd is grass. It is great! You can see my laundry line.
The bathroom is in that front hallway and to the side of the kitchen. We finally have a big tub!
I am currently looking for a home in my flat for this plant…not sure where to put it….anyway, this is the corner right by the bathroom.
Rebekah’s room!
Rebekah loves her “decorations”- last year we had to pray for them. This year, she has been content, so long as they are hung. Sweet girl. I tried to keep in mind that this was a little girl’s room- so I hung things low and tried to keep most things in reach so that little eyes and hands could enjoy.
Luke’s room is done, I just need to take pics when he’s not sleeping in it.
Our room is quite sparse right now b/c we are waiting for our landlord to bring back the duvet cover she inadvertently took.
Josh did get me my own elliptical machine for FREE off Freecycle! Woo hoo! So, that is in our room- I used it this am, and it is great.
In other news, everyone but Rebekah got a haircut today! Finally, we are recovering from Luke’s dumb and dumber cut he had the misfortune of getting from me. He looks very clean-cut and grown-up now.
I also got a semi-permanent color for shine and luster…
I got it pretty short b/c I can’t believe how fast my darn hair grows!

Wow! Looks awesome, Emily. You've done a great job. Especially love Rebekah's room!! I need to take some pics of Ethan's room here . . . it is SO nice to be able to decorate their room all fun and for them to actually be able to play IN IT! Yay! (Where in the world did you find that colorful duvet for her bed!?) And the place looks SOOO much better without that awful tree in the front yard. Love the shelf in the kitchen too. Very cool! And the playhouse . . . ahhhh . . . so much fun. Well done! ENJOY!
Love the new place Emily. Really like the flowers. Elizabeth and I agree that R looks way to old. Elizabeth says at least 5! Yikes for her long looking legs.
Love all the cuts. Luke looks like he would fit in around here. Isaac is getting one of those cuts tonight too. So handsome he is.
Your hair is cute and does grow really fast. Now if only I knew what to do with mine…hmmm.
So many things to say…
1. Happy new flat!! it's lovely, and I absolutely love the front garden with the giant bay window to look out into it. Gorgeous!!!
2. I did not notice Senor anywhere. Perhaps it is because he is so small or perhaps because he is so mysterious. At any rate, I'm so glad you took him with you. He loves Scotland, I'm sure!!!
3. Opinion: your plant could go in the kitchen on your table or up against the wall or on the window sill of your bay window in the living room or in the master bedroom.
4. I love you and miss you. Your new haircut is absolutely lovely on your dear face. And I'm hoping to get one tomorrow pm myself!!!
Okay, funny enough, I don't look at other people's comments until I've written mine. So I think it's funny that your dad and I had the same numbering idea…I knew I liked that guy!!!
love the hair and love that the kids are getting to wear sleeveless shirts and shorts! whoohoo
