My Funny Girl

I was thinking I should update on potty training- Rebekah is a champ!!! She now verbalizes almost all the time when she needs to go, especially poop! This is huge progress! However, as she has gotten more and more aware of her urges, she makes me leave the bathroom when she needs to poop. Imagine my surprise the first time she did that saying, “Mommy, leave! Go in another room!” Who knew a 2-yr-old would need privacy for a bowel movement.

Last night at Carino’s (my favorite Italian place), Rebekah saw our pizza and saw something she had had once and wanted again- she asked for “Sunglasses tomatoes?” I quickly deduced that she wanted sundried tomatoes…she had only heard the word once, so I was impressed with any recall at all! I’ll say it again- my girl has a vocabulary!

Johnny Carinos? Phillip and I fell in love with that place and stopped a couple of times on the way back to Iowa once… Kansas City was the furthest north we found one… we seriously did stop a couple of times!

Love seeing the pics of the kids and hearing your stories…gives me much to look foward to.

Oh I love Johnny Carinos too. Their salads are HUGE and the Chicken Milano is my favorite Italian meal. Yum. Is L doing things around the same time that R did as a baby? It seems like Charlie is moving quicker than he did so I’m curious about the boy/girl difference. What do you think?

ok that’s interesting…maybe I do need to stop worrying that Ty has major delays. Physical stuff is at a normal place now but he didn’t do anything remotely “on time,”and he is saying things but still behind where he should be…Charlie is just so much more ‘with it’ than he was. Maybe the boys really do develop and learn that much slower? Thanks for your reply :)
