Rebekah’s & Luke’s School Work

Tomorrow is the big kids’ last day of school for the year…and in Scotland.  Surprisingly, I am taking this kind of hard.  I wrote nice notes to the teachers because when I tried to thank them in person I started to choke up.  Who knows?  I’m having weird, out of control dreams, too, so I am guessing this is my mind’s way of coping with stress and change.  As excited as I am, I do have mixed feelings about closing a 4-year chapter of our lives.  This is where the kids have grown up and started school, not to mention where we had Lizzie.  So, my weird reaction.  Anyway, here are some snap shots of the work their teachers sent home.

Rebekah: Primary 1 {kindergarten}

My favourite: Room on the Broom Witch

p.s.  Rebekah is very naturally good at “maths,” but her favourite subject is writing.  ;)

Luke: Nursery {preschool}

Today Luke had a farewell nursery sing along.  Here are a few pictures and then his work.

My favourite: “3 Chicks”

    What fun memories! Of course you are sad at leaving those you’ve become friends with – including teachers. Moving always is hard, no matter how long you’ve been living in a location. You make attachments that are hard to break. Just remember all the great experiences you’ve had there and all that are awaiting you in Spokane!!

  2. I understand that this week is hard and full of lasts and goodbyes. I’m grateful for the wonderful things you have waiting for you in the States! You look so beautiful in the pic with Luke – motherhood becomes you!! Much love to you, Mom
