L-U-K-E

Rebekah drew and cut out these letters for her brother to “decorate.”  She has always been a gift giver, but in this situation we were more impressed with her fine motor skills.  Look how proportional the letters are in width and height.  {It was important to Rebekah to be in the pictures, by the way.  Please note the cute baby in the background, too.}  By the end, you can see all the decorating Rebekah and Luke did together- it was really sweet to see them work together.  Hard to imagine Lizzie getting in on this one day!

It’s Like Having Rebekah Again

Lizzie is definitely her own girl, but looking at her and enjoying her sweetness is like having Rebekah all over again!  These are all of Rebekah and are almost to the day Lizzie’s current age (8weeks, just under 2 months).  What do you think?  Do you see a resemblance?

Wriggly Nativity

It’s so funny having grown up in the south, in the “Bible Belt,” and not being able to talk about Jesus at Christmas. Yet, here in Scotland, where not that many are professing believers, Rebekah and Luke’s public school teaches Jesus’ birth as the basis of Christmas. Both kids have come home talking about Jesus, His birth, the wise men, and singing Christ-centered carols. Crazy, right? I am delighted to say the least!

These are a handful of the 99 or so pics Josh took at Rebekah’s school program, the Wriggly Nativity. She got to be a sheep and loved preparing for the program the last few weeks.

Look-alike Lizzie

Phyllis paired these cuties- so fun!

Josh is also amused by our girls’ ginormous baby eyes…{fun side note, Lizzie has those “mad toes,” as my brother dubbed them, too!}

Lighting Up Aberdeen!

My mom, the kids, and I headed out to see the Christmas lights get turned on in city centre- there are rows of them strung between the two sides of the street and tonight was the night they lit them up, complete with a fairly bizarre parade {including snow plows and random dancing figures, both religious and not at all}.  Sweet Lizzie girl was such a trooper- she rode in my sling and drained a bottle while we were walking!  She is such a good baby!

The pictures are really dark and not great from poor lighting, etc, but here they are:
